Chilean pianist based in New York. Developing his career as a pianist for more than 20 years with 6 years of classical piano formation, Franco's piano music gathers strong inspiration from Japanese video game soundtracks like The Legend of Zelda (Koji Kondo), Final Fantasy (Nobuo Uematsu / Masashi Hamauzu) and Kingdom Hearts (Yoko Shimomura), blended with impressionistic influences of the likes of Debussy, Ravel and Satie. Franco has dived into different forms of jazz when interpreting songs from Armenian jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan, as well as jazz music composed with a classical structure interpreting Nikolai Kapustin concert etudes.
In 2021, Franco released a 21-track solo piano album for The Outlaw Ocean Project, led by Ian Urbina, a NY Times / The Atlantic investigative reporter that invited different artists around the world for a collaborative music project based on his bestselling book, The Outlaw Ocean.
Franco’s original composition albums, A Seven Day Year and The Keeper Piano Works, both showcase his Japanese video game and impressionistic music influences as well as his ability to tell captivating stories through instrumental music.
Having created, recorded and published more than 20 original improvisation solo piano albums in the span of less than 2 years, Franco's creative output has always held a strong message that instrumental piano music is very much alive in today's music world.
